A pregnancy after loss is a trying time, fraught with fear and uncertainty, having lost some of the innocence and excitement of a happy and healthy pregnancy without a history of loss. Unfortunately, very few seem to recognize how difficult it is for moms pregnant again after one or many losses. It's often assumed that our pregnancies will be blissful because we're so excited to be blessed with viable pregnancies, but that's just not the case. In many situations, we feel guilty for resenting the morning sickness and any pain or complications because shouldn't we just be happy that our baby is alive this time? Often, we're still mourning the babies we lost and while the outside world assumes a new baby will heal us or replace the babies we lost, pregnancy just makes the pain even more acute. Pregnancy after loss is complicated.
I've run a few giveaways in the past for moms who have experienced loss but I wanted to run a special giveaway right now especially for moms who are currently pregnant after a loss. I've partnered with some very sweet and generous women who run small businesses to give you a great giveaway with items for baby and mom. I'm so very, very excited about this giveaway and I hope you are too. Please take the time to visit, follow, and make purchases from the ladies who contributed to the giveaway. It's their kind hearts that have made this giveaway possible.
At the bottom of the page, you can enter the giveaway. (US residents only please.) I ask that only women who are currently pregnant after a loss enter. (Your last pregnancy need not be a loss, I don't have experience in this area yet, but I imagine even after having a living child, subsequent pregnancies will still be hard with my history of loss. If you've ever had a loss and are currently pregnant, please do enter.) I know that that significantly limits the pool of entrants, so even if you can't enter, would you please share this giveaway with others?
And on to the wonderful prizes! One winner will take them all home.

Blessed Beans Boutique
I am a wife and mother of four children (my beans). I wanted to start a home based business where I could help support my family, stay at home, and give glory to God at the same time. The idea to make religious jewelry came to me after much prayer. Jewelry is a great conversation piece and a great way to spread the word of God.
Hi, I'm Rakhi! I am a wife and mom of 2 young children who works part-time outside of the home. I recently began indulging my artistic side, and Rakstar Designs was born. My hope is that the art and products I offer inspiration for others and serve as a reminder of God's great love for each and every person. To that end, I am giving away one of my "I Am Loved" necklaces, where the message will lie close to your heart.

P.S. I'd love to do pregnancy loss and pregnancy after loss giveaways like this on a regular basis, maybe quarterly or twice a year, as a way to showcase small businesses and support women through loss. If you'd like to contribute to an upcoming giveaway, please send me an email at messywifeblessedlife@gmail.com. Thank you!
Those boot cuffs are really cute! Blessed Beans has such gorgeous jewelry! And I have been wanting a flexi-clip a size bigger than the ones I have so I can use it for my bun. :) Thanks for doing this!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Blessed Beans item. I already have their Miraculous Medal and they have some new stained glass jewelry that I would love to get a hold of!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting a smaller flexi-clip since I cut my hair shorter. Thanks for putting all this together!
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor painting, apron, and magnet set look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love the happy, too book :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, lots of great prizes here. I love the boot cuffs.
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor, apron and magnet are my favorite. And something that really helped me so far during this pregnancy is my sister sent me a St. Gerard medal to wear. It reminds me to pray when I'm feeling anxious.
ReplyDeleteAfter our loss, I really appreciated a kind word, a card, a spiritual bouquet - the small gestures that acknowledge our loss. Prayerful support is the most important, but those little details bring a lot of comfort!
ReplyDeleteAfter all my miscarriages I would have liked for people to show support and sympathy but instead It was treated as no big deal and I was not supposed to talk about any of them. That was difficult...and still is. I would like more excitement from friends and support now that I am 7 months pregnant...but that isn't exactly happening either.
ReplyDeleteAll the gifts seem very lovely and would be happy with any of them but the Blessed Beans Boutique seems like a very special prize indeed.
